I sent my application to vermont based on the USCIS answering system on June 30th that folks with approved I-140s should send 485 applications to the center where it was approved. Any ideas, if there is a problem with that and if the app gets transferred how much time it will take.

Regarding your 1st issue...My lawyer advised me to attach the scan copy with 485, but definately have the originals in hand in case there is a RFE.
I don't want to take a chance, so Iam asking my parents to send it through 2nd day fedex as well. It will cost me maybe another Rs 2-3000, but what the hell..

Is the Nebraska Service Center fast or is there any other center that is fast. I am filing 140 and 485 together so kindly advice. Also, I would be getting married in 5 months in India and my Wife would come with me after that. Can I include her after she comes here? Is there anything that I would be aware off. Please advice. If Your Consulting Company is the negotiating then its good for you that you will be leaving on good terms. I would recommend you negotiate with them to File your 485 when PD available.
As far joining new Employer, you can only join them with H1B with 140 waiting status.
What does that mean? how can they file 485 when I'm not working for them? Also - What do you mean by with H1-B & 140 waiting?

We are in AOS pending status. I am on EAD.
After seeing the economy I am planning to send my wife to India. She is pregnant (2 months). Now I have job and in future if I get into any trouble with project Etc.. I need to pay the medical insurance and will have lot of financial issues.
How difficult is to bring new infant to US from India while our AOS is pending and apply 485. (Visitor visa Etc..)
Any suggestions.

Since you are not on H1 visa status anymore, child can not get H-4 visa to enter into USA. Your child must get immigrant visa as follow-to-join. I got the 2 yr EAD as well, but don't know what the use of having it without I140 approval.

I have an LUD of 8/12/07 as well and I sent my 485 on August 7. Therefore, I think this LUD means diddly squat.

I am not sure what came out of this campaign (I really haven't read the entire thread), but it appears that at first glance, it had to do with limiting EB2s to certain job titles.
I read some posts from the thread you mentioned and i was not able to read it entirely as it was a very long thread. I couldn't figure out what changed with respect to EB2 job zones. I have filed my current perm in EB2 with senior software engineer title and i am not sure what will happen to that. I am in this country for 5 years and still struggling to get my PERM approved (So far i have filed PERM three times :)) Is there anyone in IV who has got their PERM approved with Priority date from DECEMBER 2008 onwards? This will be little encouraging.

I think you need to show visa proof when you go to most of the DMVs.
But one of friend renewd his lic(PA DMV) without showing H1 or EAD. He renewed it online.
When I tried to renew my licence online it prompted me that my citizenship requires me to go to DMV local office personally.
Well, if your friend was able to get it renewed online, that mean, he must have got his first DL in PA long time ago and at that time, there was no flag that talked about immigration status like I-94. But at the later stage, DMV started attaching a restriction with H1B and other visa hoders to check the I-94 H1B status etc ...those ppl r still enjoying same setup and ppl like us are going through this whole excercise.

it is possible for company B to apply as a future employee. But if you do not join company B after the GC is approved, it constitutes fraud on your part and that of the company.

yes it looks like a boiler plate RFE. you will just need to be cautious with the information you are giving to RFE and Make sure it is consistent with what ever you provided earlier.
Also, get your collegues/managers from previous company to give you letters stating that you worked with him/her for that company during the stated period. Like explained above get as much consisten evidences liek w2's pay stubbs for that period. For the Ability to pay , have your company get with the CPA and prepare those statements.

Yes i had also applied OCI for my child about 6 months back and was denied since we parents hold indian citizenship. Does anybody know that registering every 6 months is a must ? Some of my friends have permanentely gone back to India i am not sure what they are doing though since there kids hold US Citizenship. Any infomation on this will be helpful.
- A child under age 16 (with any visa, including PIO) don't need to register with FRRO. But many Indian immigration officials conveniently forget this and harass you. So you better take a print out from official Indian Government website.
- PIO card holder needs to register with FRRO when the stay exceeds 6 months for the first time and that registration is valid until PIO expires. PIO is valid for 15 years, so you will register once in 15 years at the most.
Google for references. If you don't find it, I will look up and post it.

Mu I140 was approved back in May /07. I got a LUD today bit I don't know what it means. I have the receipt notice of my I485. I also got LUD on my I131 for me and my family.
